Aarrgghh! Switch and Route most certainly do *not* evaluate all possible inputs (to Switch) or outputs (of Route) - unless of course a bug has crept in.
OK, I believe you. I certainly knew Route did NOT. I thought I had trouble with Switch in the past, but memory fails me as to why I suspected its non-active branches evaluated.
