While trying to figure out a problem, I found a new feature that isn't documented that is nice to know. First the problem:

With an X,Y plot, how does one get the labels to appear on the left and top of the plot. I can get them on the left the right and bottom, but never on the top. This is not a problem if it is a Y,Z plot. My solution has been to project this into Y,Z, create the axes and then rotate the whole ball of wax. Very ugly.

Now for the new undocumented feature. If you want to have your tick marks on the outside of the plot instead of the default inside, just set the ticks to a negative number.
