The memory setting worked. One thing that I found is max memory for dx in
win98 is 255 not 256.

This is probably due to a limitation with Win98. Do you have more
than 256 MB of RAM? If so, you must limit dx to only use 256 in Win
98; NT does not have this problem. Start dx by doing dx -edit -memory
256
