Okay, when an image is displayed with Image, and the View Control->Mode
"Rotate" is selected, then a reference axis appears in the right bottom of
the image.

How can I add such a reference axis in the case that I use Display to show
the image? Now I can't select Rotate.

Display, as the name implies, is not interactive, thus no need for such axes.

You'll need to manufacture a triplet of 3-vectors (vector glyphs) and add to your scene. I did this in a macro. It will not be a screen object so it won't stay in the lower right corner without heroic effort.

Maybe better to create the 3-vector object in one output (fed to Render) and in another Render, render your real scene, then use Overlay to combine the two images before sending to Display.
