First, I'd like to thank the developers of OpenDX. OpenDX is a life saver.
I was loathing having to write a visual interface from scratch for our
Beowulf cluster. I went through the tutorial, but was a bit overwhelmed.
I'm trying to animate heat flow through a metallic cube. I figured out how
to format my data and setup OpenDX to present a single frame of the cube,
but how do I animate multiple frames?
I guess the first question to ask is how should I format my output data?
Currently, I just have the data streaming frame by frame with no breaks or
formatting.
The second question is how should I import the data? Do I add a fourth
dimension for time?
The third question is how do I setup the OpenDX program? For the single
frame, I just have an Import block connected to an AutoColor block connected
to an Image block. I added a Sequencer block with no connections, which
doesn't create any errors, but doesn't seem to change frame either.
The last question is, can somebody recommend a book on OpenDX? Particularly
from Barnes and Nobles, because I still have Christmas gift certificates
left :) .
