This posting concerns OpenDX training. I have been using OpenDX for a
few years now. I have used it at the GUI level, the script level, and
now at the C code level. I am investigating opportunities for
one-on-one training to further my knowledge of OpenDX.

Here are some examples of the kinds of topics that I am studying or
intend to study:

* Internal data structures within OpenDX, such as those defined in the C
header files.
* The methods by which OpenDX processing is distributed among multiple
CPUs.
* Architectural principles of the modules and library routines,
especially in the areas of Realization, Rendering, Structuring, and
Transformation.

I realize that the answer to my posting may simply be "study the source
code and read the relevant papers!" That is in fact what I am already
doing--in conjunction with reading the DX Programmer's Reference from
version 3.1.4. (I have already studied and used the other three DX
manuals over the past few years.)

One of the reasons for my interest in OpenDX at the C code level is that
I am working on integrating OpenDX with various non-OpenDX software
components in our immersive visualization environment. My manager is
quite keen to see this work move forward as quickly as possible and that
is the main motivation for my posting today.

If you are interested and capable of providing the sort of training that
I describe above, I would be happy to hear from you.

As a final note, my thanks to the developers of DX/OpenDX for all your
hard work over the years. The software is a pleasure to work with.
