Dear Randall,

I would like to get it working but cannot spend too much time on it. Our connection to a 64 bit SGI is vnc + adsl which is not good for my blood pressure.

But I am quite willing to compile and test it a bit. We had our problems compiling with gcc3.0.4 but can probably use the native compiler (we use quite a few linked in modules, written in C++, but should be ok since linkage is done in C).

So how do I compile it for native 64 bit sgi mode?

Mattijs

I assume you mean compiled for the -64 ABI. I submitted patches a while
back to get it to build with -64, but didn't get back to testing and
debugging.
Sure would be useful though, letting us handle large datasets in SMP mode I
think.

Are you intererested in helping with a port? I could devote some time as
well as it would be a value-add here. We're frequently bumping into the
memory ceiling and implementing various caching, import, and rendering
hacks to work around this.

Randall
