If you want the line from Plot without all of the extras from Plot like
axes, you can always construct a object of "lines" in 2d, and as the
overlay.  If you have a 1d field, Rubbersheet can be used to construct a
plot-like line in 2d.

Why use plot if you don't need the axes?

You could always decompose the plot and remove the objects you don't need.
