Looks like DX emits this when HAVE_LIBDF isn't defined, which means
configure didn't detect HDF when OpenDX was built.
Did you build OpenDX yourself, or download it?
If you built it, reconfigure and take note when it starts talking about
HDF ("checking for HDF components ...").
|Now HDF5 is using.. and the HDF5 library's directory path is
|in the shell source file, and using IRIX 6.5 as OS.
I vaguely recall that HDF5 is a whole different beast. OpenDX looks for
HDF (-ldf in IRIXland) not HDF5 (-lhdf5).
