My question goes as follows:
I have a very large data set (part of the reason I want to do this from within data explorer), which I make a histogram. From this I compute the total area. Now, what I don't know how to do:
I need to find the value for which the area under the histogram (starting with the smallest values) is equal to x% of the total area. So what I really need is some quick way to solve integral equations numerically from within the opendx framework.
Any pointers or suggestions would be much appreciated.
