Hi.
I have the following problem, and am not quite certain how to go about solving it in DX.
I have generated a 3D isosurface, which represents an interface between two materials. I need to 'trace' or 'walk' on this surface (or in the volume to either side of the surface) in order to determine a) if the surface is continuous (i.e., from any given point on the surface, all other points can be reached without leaving the surface, and b) if it is not continuous, I want to determine some average pore size, by calculating the average number of points I can get to, starting at a given point. Or since in the case of a discontinuous surface, since I am left with a collection of bubbles/pores, if there is some way to determine an average volume of those pores, that would be even better.
The main problem I am having is with manipulating the output of either Isosurface or CappedIsosurfaceMacro.
A related question, but for a different problem: When I try to use Measure to calculate the volume of a capped isosurface, it apparently does the calculation, but when I pass the answer on to Format, I get the error that Format requires a scalar. I think this has something to do with the way data is output from the macro, but I'm not sure how to deal with the problem.
Any tips or advice would be great.
Thanks,
Jonathan
