They'll be consistent. By convention, OpenDX isosurfaces face toward the lower data values; eg. if you Isosurface a cube with the four vertices or one face at 0 and the for at the opposite face at 1, the triangles will face toward the 0 side. You can change this; its the "direction" parameter to Isosurface.

Hi,
I wrote myself a module which saves to a disk file the positions and
connections contained in the output of the isosurface module. The
connections type is typically triangle. my question is, in what order
are the vertices of each triangle arranged, clockwise, counterclockwise,
or random order? I need this piece of information to make sure that the
calculated normal for each triangle facet points outside.
