Per my last note and posting to the OpenDX mail group, LAPS doesn't not use
netCDF in an appropriate fashion. The last time I looked at the problem it
did at least the following things wrong:
1. Added at least one extra dimension two arrays, which was not needed nor
used
2. Did not properly reference grids
3. Stored arrays by FORTRAN convention (first dimension varies fastest)
instead of C convention, which netCDF and DX expects (last dimension varies
fastest)
4. Uses a number of both global and variable attributes that were neither
referenced nor contained appropriate information

Since these features are not part of netCDF per se, DX has no way to know
about it. The solution from a DX-application-development perspective is a
macro or module that reads that the raw arrays, which Import will do, and
then reconstruct the appropriate fields in a standard and usable fashion.

Subject: LAPS NetCDF and DX

 Hello,

In now here the DX is working fine and the only thing which I have
to do is to convert the LAPS NetCDF output to DX format. DX read the
data but there is some problems with the dimensions of some
variables.

Do you have idea who to ask for help? I asked the developer team of
DX.

 Thanks

 Greetings,

       Angel
