Yes, you can use the netCDF import facility in DX to read LAPS output.
However, LAPS does not write data to netCDF in a standard fashion, so you
will need to modify the data appropriately either before or after import.
As to what the modifications are, you'll need to verify how LAPS is
outputing the data.

As to RAMS data, we modified RAMS to produce custom output in a more
efficient fashion in native coordinates rather than use the native RAMS
output.

As to MM5 output, I have gone through a post-processor to convert data from
sigma levels to isobaric levels and dumped the results into AWIPS-type
netCDFs. It has similar but not the same problems as LAPS netCDF output.

 Dear DX users,

I'm searching for converter to create output from MM5 model in DX
format. Do you have some idea about any way to do that. I don't know
much about DX but here I see that it have NetCDF support. LAPS create
output in NetCDF format so may be this can be used to view the MM5
model output in DX.

As I understand the version which is used in the weather forecasting
for the Olympic Games in Atlanta in '96 is other then the current
version. Is there some point from where to download this modification
of DX beacuse I plan to use DX to visualize the numerical model
output.

 Thank you for any ideas.

 Sincerely,

        Angel
