I've been trying to import two netCDF files that I ran the ncdx utility on in
order to make them OpenDX compliant. Each time I've run into a segmentation
fault (signal 11) that disconnects the ui from the executive server. I
understand this is a memory problem, but I'm not sure exactly of the problem's
characteristics or how to rectify it.

Can anyone help? I've made these files (originally generated by HOPs, made
OpenDX compliant by ncdx) available here:

I am also encountering the same problem. Recently, I've been
using the new Weather Research and Forecasting model (WRF) that
dumps data in netCDF format. Attempting to read in the raw netCDF output from WRF, or after running the data through ncdx, always
produces a segmentation fault when launching, along with a core dump.

Am I missing something? I'm launching the program simply with "dx" and using the data importer GUI to bring the data in. I'm guessing I have the same problem? Are there any solutions to this?

  Thanks for any help.

  Jason
