Well, they should run in a current version or at least they used to. Admittedly, I've not tried them with 4.2... However, a more recent version (few years old as opposed to several) with more examples is available at: http://opendx.npaci.edu/bin/dx_examples.tar.gz "Camiel Severijns" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>@opendx.watson.ibm.com on 09/05/2002 11:53:50 AM Please respond to [email protected] Sent by: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: <[email protected]> cc: Subject: Re: [opendx-users] Problem with java dx and macros Hi, I have finally figured out what causes this problem. It appears that the earth and space science macros are in an old DX file format that does not contain information about which other macros are being referenced. Loading the net files into DX and saving them in 4.2.0 net file format seems to solve the problem. My environment variables seem to be okay. I have tried adding the search paths to the dxserver.paths file and the startserver script. This didn't help. Any hints on how to tell java dx to load the additional macros? Thanks, Camiel Severijns Camiel in my startserver script I have a line defining the DXARGS flag as: DXARGS="-optimize memory -memory $memory -highlight off -execonly - processors 1 -modules /usr/local/dx/java/server/modules -mdf /usr/local/dx/java/server/localmods.mdf" where localmods.mdf contains the definition of local modules.
