One of the Image module parameters is bkgndColor, set this to white. If you use the VPE, do this in the configuration dialogue for the Image module, or under Options on the toolbar of the onscreen image window with the graphic displayed. > Thanks, Nicolas > > P.S.: Another problem is that the pictures are stored as bitmaps (as much > as I can see). DX embeds the bitmap in its PS output. Not ideal, but at present it's all you have. I'm grateful for that much :-) The Open Source mapping package GMT has wsome nice PS vector capabilities, which someone may be able to embed or replicate in OpenDX, but I don't see it happening any time soon. I've used GMT for some time now. Given that a 2D graph is simply plotting line vectors in your 2D data space mapped onto a region on a page, it does graphs pretty nicely, even if the scripting can be cumbersome :-) I've used GMT to draw 2D & 3D maps with a 2D graph overlaid on top. Very high quality vector PS/EPS output. You could also look at R for an Open Source statistical package with quality graphical output. DX does great visualisations, but is limited in capabilities for publication/production quality graphics (IMHO). Cheers Brent Wood
