Hi,
When I start dx, the DATA EXPLORER opens. If I try to open a *.net file from the samples, a window saying: "unable to connect to dxexec" pops up and the shell gives me:
_dxl_ReadPortNumber: Bad file descriptor
timeout waiting for response from DX
Internal Error detected at Macrodefinition.C : 631
--> I tried to start dxexec : dx -execonly -> starts @ port 1900
then I tried to start the ui : dx -uionly -> again the the Internal Error detected at Macrodefinition.C : 631
It is the latest OpenDX build "Windows 95/NT (cygwin) based on OpenDX v4.1.3."
I installed the latest Cygwin and Xfree versions end of January from www.cygwin.com (Latest Cygwin DLL release version is 1.3.19-1).
I am using Windows XP Pro with 512 MB
I searched the web for this problem. Apparently it is known since quite a while but I did not find a solution.
Any idea what screws ???
