Have you used Map.
May I assume that this is for an Arakawa-B type of grid for NWP? If so,
you can construct the grid by modifying the positions of the grid points
used for T,P,etc.

Is there a simple way to deal with staggered (U,V on edges) grids within
DX? I have used regrid to map one grid to another but that is very time
consuming?? Is there a way to do the linear interpolation within dx to
create a new grid??
