stimulated by some nice examples on the web, I intended to improve my visualizations by using the
PRAVDA tool included in the bonus package from IBM. However, I run in problems, when examples
provided in the pack want to use the ColorMapPicker tool.
I downloaded all data/macros/etc that I thought to be essential and
managed to run some of the examples
on my SGI system. However, whenever an example wants to use the ColorMapPicker,
I get the following
error message:
0: Starting ./PRAVDAtools/ColorMapPicker.sgi on localhost; will wait
up to 60 seconds for connections.
ERROR: PRAVDAColor: ColorMapPicker: Bad parameter: connection to host
localhost failed
By the way, I started dx with
dx -mdf ./PRAVDAtools/ColorMapPicker_sgi.mdf -execute ./programs/example4.net
When I modify the net so that PRAVDAColor does not employ the ColorMapPicker,
the program runs
fine.
Any suggestions?
