That's a bug, which may be machine dependent. Have you made sure that the lines have priority or fuzz? Prior to Collect'g the result of ShowConnections with the surface, pass it to Options(fuzz, 8). The number is somewhat arbitrary, but tells the renderer a relative priority for coincident objects. It's very handy if you have multiple objects that may intersect in several places in order to control what is seen on a surface. You should also verify that it also occurs with multi-pixel lines via Options(,"line width", n) and that you have priority set A work around would be to use Ribbon, for example, which will create triangles.
