VIS, Inc. is happy to announce that we are now making available for
download dxconvert 4.0. This is an X program based on the conv
utilities from the University of Montana for converting data sets of
USGS DEM, USGS DLG, ERDAS LAN, ERDAS IMG, MODFLOW, Arc Shape and DXF
to OpenDX. Currently we are providing free downloads for the
following operating systems: Irix 6.5, Solaris 9, RedHat 9, and MacOS
X 10.2. We will be also giving away a Windows binary, but it is
taking a little more development time.

We know that its not perfect, but this is the first revision of this
