Thanks for the reply. Import->AutoColor->Image didn't work for me,
perhaps it was because the data was imported as scattered points, which
is what it gives me. I noticed a module/macro: ConnectLine. It works
just the way I wanted. Import->ConnectLine->AutoColor->Image gave me
back connected line colored by the timestamp.
Thank you for your help.

I think you are misunderstanding what streamline does. Streamline, given a
volumetric vector field, traces a massless particle path through the vector
field, creating a line, represented by a sequence of points, and a time
stamp. I think what you have *is* a streamline. Use the first import
mechanism you described, pass it through AutoColor and then to Image, and
you should get a line in 3-D colored by the time stamp.

Hi
I'm trying to connect a series of 3D vectors with Streamline module. But
Streamline always refused to take the data I imported to it. The data
file has only x, y, z and a time stamp field. I tried 2 ways of
importing. The first one is to import it as a irregular field with the
time stamp as the data component and xyz as the positions (3D-vector).
The 2nd one is to only take xyz and use the regular grid. But Streamline
doesn't accept either of them. Can anyone point out where could be wrong
and how to import those vectors as vector list? Thanks in advance.
