It means exactly what the message says in this case...

In order to define a 3d view for rendering, you need to have a place where
you would look, and a location from which you would look. AutoCamera will
calculate a default view (camera), which is invoked by Image, based upon
the positions (bounding box) of the geometry that it receives. If the
object that is passed to Image is degenerate (e.g., a point), then there
isn't a way for AutoCamera to calculate a view. Try checking the geometry
that you are passing to Image (e.g., via Print). You can also manually
enter a camera, but you probably won't see anything rendered.

Does anyone have any idea what this error message means and what I can do
to fix it?

ERROR: Image: Camera: Bad Parameter: 'from' and 'to' cannot be equal

Also, what's the best way in general to determine the meaning of error
messages? Some of them are quite cryptic.
