Perhaps this is more of a cygwin question, but I can no longer launch an
X-window by using "startxwin.sh" in BASH; all I get is an "X" in the system
tray, which disappears when I place the mouse cursor over it.
Before this problem I changed my Windows 98 Virtual Memory setting to use
my new, spare, HDD (on D:). Then, I found this problem when I wanted to run
DX, so I changed the Virtual Memory setting back to the default (to let
Windows decide). However, rebooting did not fix the problem. (Now I can't
use the holiday to work through my new "Paths to Visualization" book !)
Has anyone else had this happen?
Thanks!
