I have two fields with the same dimension but different positions. How
is it possible to combine both fields to one field with dimension n+n.

Following situation:
I have two 2D slabs which have one border in common. If I apply any
interpolation with dx (e.g. autocolor) it will interpolate both slabs
seperately resulting in an ugly shift at the border.

I tried the stack module, but I got only a series of fields. I tried the
modules append and stack, but append allows me only to add one more
dimension, i.e. from n to n+1 (using 21 input tabs up to n+21) but not n
+n.

Another possibility to circumvent this problem might be to create to
MapToPlanes fields and clip them at the intersection. But this looks
very uncomfortable to me and I haven't tried it yet.

Thanks for all help and suggestions!
