Linux System Administrator Needed RESPONSIBILITIES • Customer Support and helpdesk. • Perform Linux installations, patching, testing, implementations and upgrades. • Design and implement system backup and recovery processes. • Perform capacity planning and troubleshooting operating system issues. • Implement and maintain system monitoring tools. • Document and support standards, policies and procedures on system use. • Communicate effectively with customers and vendors. REQUIRED SKILLS • 1 year of experience in web hosting • Knowledge of scripting languages ( BASH/ Perl / Python ..etc. ) • Experience in cPanel installation and troubleshooting. • Background in programming using any applicable language. • Knowledge in evaluating system performance. • Knowledge in installing hardware and software on Linux systems. • Knowledge in MySQL,PHP and Apache. • Knowledge in Nagios,XEN,cPanel,NGINX and Apache. • Knowledge working in a 24x7 operations environment. • Knowledge in troubleshooting problems involving websites , OS software and server hardware. OTHER SKILLS NEEDED • Ability to work under pressure, and in different working hours. • Ability to solve problems quickly and completely. • Ability to identify tasks which require automation and automate them. • A solid understanding of a Linux operating system. • A solid understanding of networking and distributed computing environment concepts. • A self motivated, systematic, creative ...etc. Send CV’s to [email protected]
