Yesterday we were doing a demo for a hospital client of ours and I thought it quick cool that they recognized OpenEHR and became excited that our product had the ability to configure against a clinical standard (I should the archetype import and how we can build content suited for AQL querying).
The reason being is they had interests in caBIG which is very similar and (with my limited understanding) if you have a system that conforms to their data model you can (theoretically with the appropriate security in place) make your database available for querying or through a web service so that the National Cancer Institute can perform aggregate queries against all the member systems. While we can support any number of terminologies in PatientOS if we do win business there I will certainly push to see if part of the implementation can build archetypes that allow seamless mapping to the caBIG's data model (I have not seen it yet). Greg PS Should be caught up this weekend with my todo's then I will prepare an OpenEHR specific demo video. -- Gregory Caulton Principal at PatientOS Inc. personal email: caultonpos at patientos.org http://www.patientos.com corporate: (888)-NBR-1EMR || fax 857.241.3022
