yes, well, that's another issue with it....in openEHR and CEN it is 
modelled based on the real world situation (i.e. that null flavour is 
not inherently part of a data value, but only part of its use in some 
context, e.g. in ELEMENT.value), although I can still imagine 
improvements. But we need to walk (steadily) first.
