Rodrigo This is not so difficult - but it needs to be done in a manner that ensures interoperability. Our proposed solution to this is to have a core component that is available as open source to ensure that this work is done in a consistent manner.
Thomas Beale is presently working part-time with UCL in London to build this component. At Ocean Informatics Thomas has built the component in Eiffel in the past - storing the information in Matisse. This was a proof of concept project which gave us confidence in the approach. The DSTC (at Queensland University) have a fully functional system which is openEHR based and deals with data validation. It is web-based which limits its flexibility to some extent. This process is reasonably straight forward - and I am happy to discuss this further if you would like. We would like people to contribute to the open source component - and it may be that you can do this while you build the rest of the system. We have some people in Australia working on generic data display components (archetype based) which should improve the adaptability of future openEHR systems.
