This is the consequence of how the mailing list is setup : it is setup as a mail address, with no reference to it as being a mailinglist (or bulk mail address) Here is how to fix it : Most of my mailinglist subscriptions have a List-Id <dotted listname> or an extra header of Delivered-To: mailing list <list adres>. They all however have the Precedence: bulk mailheader set. Setting Precedence: bulk will prevent good mail clients/servers sending out of office mails to that address. If it does, the client is broken and needs fixing.. See ftp://ftp.rfc-editor.org/in-notes/rfc2919.txt for List-Id. Precendence: bulk is non standard, but widely adopted by most mailinst list systems.
