Thanks for the explanation. It is of course a lot to take in so I was 
wondering whether you could email an example of an R and T as a UML diagram.

One more thing, what is a clinical statement model. Is it a CDA or 
something else? Also if further T's are applied to a model (say T1), 
does the original T become a part of R or does it still retain its 
individuality such that R + T + T1 is as valid as R + T1 (without T).
