Ok, thanks for the clarification. Based on all the discussion it seems reasonable to reset, ask people if they are cool with the proposed PMC (as it appears that some would like to see a different composition) and get the community consensus.

My guess is that this all boils down to some assumptions in communication and people assuming things are not kosher.

For my 2c I'm fine with the proposed PMC I'm just concerned about the broken thread of communication and seeming confusion on people's parts of who's in / who's out, etc. I think the proposed list confused people (as you indicated above) that it was the group of committers.
