I think I saw the problem we were discussing in a wrong way.
I tould OpenEjb hanged at myejb[16...].create(anything), but it hangs after I used my bean and it did all the passivation and etc... and the client is removing the beans.
I am executing the example from Ed Roman's Mastering EJB; the example about statefull session bean and pool of beans.
I changed the configuration of OpenEjb and it worked just fine, passivating my beans whenever I wanted, but when I returned the configuration to passivate after creating 100 beans (default) and the client made an iteration from 0 to 50000 calling sfsb[i].remove(), OpenEjb hanged when i was a little past 18000.
I did the changes in the VM calling that you suggested and it started running really fast. Thank you for the tip.
