Dear Jeremy Whitlock,
I found the correct documentation on Tomcat and OpenEJB and have
brought up both the Servlet and JSP "Hello World" Examples. The OPENEJB documentation
is terrific. The only thing I would add to the docs with regard to the
server.xml @tomcat-4.1.xx/conf/server.xml
documentation to remove the confusion about the context path for beginners.
<!-- Without this you cannot create a resource instance on your Bean!
Create an appropriate definition of a factory and the Tomcat server lets the factory
handle requests for the objects it is registered to handle. That's what OpenEJB's EJB
factory does. It intercepts messages for EJBs, passes it along to OpenEJB and returns
requested beans
this code snipet from a client requesting a bean links up to the factory
Object object = initCtx.lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/hello");
-->
<Ejb name="ejb/hello"
type="Session"
home="org.acme.HelloHome"
remote="org.acme.Hello"/>
<ResourceParams name="ejb/hello">
<parameter>
<name>factory</name>
