Hi all,

I’ve a eMMC flash drive fuse with 1.6GB SLC wHigh retention enable. The
purpose of this partition is to have the /var/log and /usr/share/{folder} into
it.

The problem isn’t the share folder, it’s the /var/log folder. My intention was
to have my /dev/mmcblk0p2 mounted into /mnt/high_retention and create two
directory log and share into it.

NOTE: Ok the good approach could be to create two different partitions and use
it separately, but it wasn’t happen in this.

Once this done, I was about to create two symlinks, like the volatile log, and
…. No ☹, I can’t. for the share one it’s OK, for the /var/log, too much
dependancies.

I’ve tried to use the volatiles configuration (/etc/defaults/volatile/….)
nothing happen, I’ve defined:
VOLATILE_LOG_DIR              = "no"

But I don’t know where to change his location starting from this point.

Any help will be appreciated

BR,

Martin Leduc
