The patch also needs to be backported to the wrynose branch, I assume.
Should it be backported to older LTS branches?
Yes, this needs to be backported to both wrynose and whinlatter. Both
use hostapd 2.11, which introduced this regression.
Older LTS branches (scarthgap, kirkstone) use hostapd 2.10 and are not
affected.
