Well, in fact you are right and I rememebr your initial perplexity.
Oe-classic had CMDLINE_DEBUG ?= '${@base_conditional("DISTRO_TYPE",
"release", "loglevel=3", "debug", d)}'
but now DISTRO_TYPE has gone (not in grep results).
