Thank you Yasin and Eric for your
helpful responses.
I had a misunderstanding from the beginning. I though that the default printing action (Called 'Print Screen') would print the current document. Actually it just prints the list view. So, OpenERP does not have printable form of most documents. I should create a new report for those documents without print action that I need to print. I think there should be a @media print CSS for the web client to allow printing views in a usable form from the browser. In trunk, I see some CSS differentiation between screen and print, but the print layout still has tabs, icons and unrelated elements. Search for the object "account.invoice". Open the "Invoices" object and remove the hook at the field "On multiple doc". Now you got the print button on the right site back. Something very annoying for example is you cannot directly print an invoice in draft state in the form view (you need to switch first to list view). Some object has a report actions in the list view, but, most objects do not have. For example, I could not find how to print a Customer Payment or a Journal Entry. The browser print option is not usable as there is no print media CSS. Do I miss something? or is there a module that adds print action to common objects?
