Hello Everybody. After some discusion on the IRC and after be sure what will be the objective and plans for projects around manage healthcare on OpenERP some good news come up.
1.- We as community will not mantain other project different to the new one create OeMedical. https://launchpad.net/oemedical. Point : We encourage all people worried about this functionality fill blueprints, bugs and questions "Open" and ASAP on the project, to be sure we can include in this process all point of views. 2.- We decide have 2 teams to avoid community look in different places from launchpad "It change a little bit the way we discuss already how manage projects." A.- https://Launchpad.net/~oemedical-drivers. An open team to have access to list and discuss about the vision and allow end users specialized in healthcare give them opinion and be in touch about communications, this team is open, and has a mailing list. B.- https://Launchpad.net/~oemedical-commiter Moderated team that comply with new rules already discussed and that allow us mantain the quality of merges and code. We have a new rule in this project, NO company NO partner can looks like the "Oficial Mantainer", for this reason, all modules inside this project will have as Author: "OeMedical Team" And in the credits above the code, we will mention who is colaborating with the code, who is planifying the code and when it happens who is financing the code. In order to mantain this vision we decided democratically ask to OpenERP SA be the Owner of the project in Launchpad, and Thanks to Fabrice from OpenERP US we had in really record time all the job done regerding launchpad configuration. The old projects mentioned in last emails will be as Hosted-Projects redirecting to the mentioned before because launchpad don't have a way to delete them ;-) in this way, medical-openerp and openerpmedical will be deleted as soon Launchpad allow us About technical and Functional plans: 1.- We will not work with any kind of fork of medical - GNU/healt, but we will use as base due to some script to bring newest models from the actual version. 2.- Already some specialists in this area especifically [Eckhard Schwarzat] ask us not base on medical totally because it has some conceptual errors, we will do as he said after he exchange his vision about the whys. 3.- We are working every day from time to time to have ASAP an usable version. Some important information and asking fora new member. - We ask to Community agreement to integrate to* Parthiv Patel *to openerp-community-reviewer team, until now they are taking for themselves all the technical kickoff of the project and they are demostrating that they will work with the community rules, with strong commitment and high technical quality, all over this new way of make community without names ;-) Thanks all and we wait in this team helping us to build the best ERP in the world.
