I'm pondering the consequences of adopting some features available only in trunk for a local production version[1]. I understand the risks, but I'm wondering how my local version could eventually converge back to a released version. What's the policy for releasing new versions from trunk? Does trunk get merged into the 7.0 series to create 7.0.1, or will trunk not be merged into a release until 7.1?
And in either case, how would I go about migrating to that version? Will it require a paid migration, or will it be more trivial? Will migration even be supported given that I've used a non-released version?
