Hi Folks, The current POS, while good, wasn't really usable for me because I don't have access to a touch-screen or a bar-code reader (both of them are really expensive here). Trying to enter a sale with the mouse can be very time consuming, especially when you have 600+ products to choose from. Also, I needed some way to enter customer information from the POS screen. So, I embarked on a journey to add these things to my favourite ERP suite.
It's now ready for public review. You can find it on launchpad: https://code.launchpad.net/~mmakonnen/openobject-addons/point_of_sale_enhanced-70 Just copy the point_of_sale module from my repository over the official one and reload the POS. Features: 1. Use numeric keypad to enter order lines 2. Select a customer from the POS screen 3. Show the product code in the product list 4. Search by product code 5. Hitting enter from the search field adds the product to the order Please try it out and let me know what you think.
