Hello, I totally agree with the fact we have to have standard way to set version. It will ease our work on a lot of operational aspects.
You proposition of format seems simple and sustainable. The translation are automated on officials addons using launchpad tools. As we may decide to use a similar approach in future for community addons, so I suggest that updating translation will not increment version number.
