It seems from your answers that there is not a consensus on that, so my
suggestion is to accept them both, since they are both pep8-legal.
I believe the thread was about asking on personal preferences. As far as I can tell, the discussion is not about changing the status quo: as long as it's PEP8 compliant it should not be rejected. /DR
