Yes, but not quite. My case was keeping the quantity (it is always 1), but adjusting the line amount by the partial percentage. Still a welcome addition, looks like a job well done. You may have found out like me that all code involved in creating sale order invoices lacks flexibility and could do with a proper refactoring. I do see you worked around the same problems with the framework with regards to the overriding of function field methods. I like your workaround of using a different method name for the references used in the store parameter but it kills method inheritance just the same.
