Hello Seb, what about backporting the QWeb v8 version of it? http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~openerp-dev/openobject-addons/trunk-qweb-report/view/head:/product/views/product_label.xml just changing the language from qweb to mako should make the next migration straightforward, at least it's HTML + webkit already instead of rml.
Eventually if the qweb version isn't cool, may be report it to OpenERP as a bug and see what they do. And we could diverge if they do nothing.
