Thanks for the creditting, Alexandre. I think compelled to clarify further. runbot: this is the dedicated continuous integration system made by OpenERP for their specific purposes. The main instance is at http://runbot.openerp.com, buildbot: a generic, distributed continuous integration framework. See http://buildbot.net anybox.buildbot.openerp: a configurator for buildbot meant for custom projects described as a buildout. I personnally don't call it a recipe, to avoid possible confusions with anybox.recipe.openerp (the buildout recipe) Actually runbot and (buildbot w/ OpenERP configurator) have very different features and usage profiles. > > Regarding your specific question, I believe git should be supported, at > least in the trunk branch, but I have not tested it. There are two different questions : * how do the buildslaves grab the buildout Indeed, that can be from VCS or directly as a 'standalone' file from the buildmaster. Support for Git has been introduced by the Acsone team, yes, but I haven't tested it either. * can the buildout configuration load addons or openobject-server from Git repositories ? Yes, it always could, although that's been vastly improved by Acsone in the past year. We are using it at Anybox for some critical projects. The support in the stable branch of the buildout recipe goes all the way to the packaging (extraction) facilities Regards, - -- Georges Racinet Anybox SAS, http://anybox.fr Bureau: 09 72 39 50 97 / 09 72 39 13 06 Portable: 06 51 32 07 27 GPG: 0x33AB0A35, sur serveurs publics -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJTGdKTAAoJEMNPpRkzqwo1df4P/3ehNkdb42HYyyQaGMZWtqKX zYB3ilueOy+WHsR6cyYMg4Jf7PAG1Tbtd7JOe3eQ6+R0nafzuFCCeLOK2F84vUtk UEXIO9uBKnj9ZO1LlXFyz5fZ/q1iwZgCwN95MRFvGo6s3uA0guvRnBXuM7viTex9 LRNYqGQvGfWFA2aj6I2Pmi0ZErgpbdq6NBxBqPWQREDMPyOUtXMXJsMlzk3tx+1Q m8EwDHysvd4r5Fdgx0lJ4nGNUqgpqy6VMr7R/FrEXa+n4V6QZTf5OqiY5H+8gPtf YQ9n81U1t0n/kSuiu6LJM+oRilz8HXG0YV7C1+AFZfAJz/AObThzCkuTZC8sA7FH c14kSUQlXQAIhMwD1X8/BgKhggm1J1kyH2WKJrUhmHB07cFhVCM9iR00Yx7+QwGq Pbbj5TYX4GdfILH+L2CD+gw8DMojXU6HZVIKq/3ppr4SjLlISZ6eNVc6wLFT8GoY zsCTlEm4K1R/RxWzcwmfubjLCXTFrWiCRT4W6nVv11RBgm5yYHx1ulyavm9xHywI kHQDA5dzgCzfWqyBlGTTG3YN7Dhx6trZgpJ555smMHTUacoxQX+qF5BOK8jQmMqZ 6sTfpoJTiYuyKXWYhc3keUFW7uAVCypw9nEM9Aa/44Im0O10XmGHEV+B2NIXOsnh mJOV1TaC7fooos7Efmdc =Y58h -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
