If that's the case, I am quite interested in how existing OpenERP POS v7 users solves product expiry, and if there is any merit in a custom module to address this problem.
Off the top of my head, I can extend product_variant_multi and the related POS modules, and allow users to sell FIFO, LIFO or any order for a given product.
