I am using v6 rc2, and am still experiencing this bug (web client): create a new Opporunity, the Search on the Stages brings up nothing. However, I can CREATE a new Stage from within this search screen, and the new Stage that I created will now ALWAYS show up in the Search screen.
For example, I create a new Opportunity, and use the Search button to search for a Stage. No stages are shown, so I create one called NEWBY. Next time that I create a new Opportunity, and open up the Search button to search for a Stage, I can choose the NEWBY stage but none others. When I open up the menu Sales / Configuration / Opportunities / Stages, I see all of the original Stages PLUS my stage NEWBY.
