Review: Needs Fixing
Hello Priyesh,

You've got it working , but it is not the right solution.

The problem lies in the truth that surprisingly account.account model has no
list view (yes, you read it right) though its one of the mostly used models.
Both the 'tree' type views defined in system are 'tree' views in real(both of
them have child_id).

The Groupby works for List view of account because the action has referred
specifically to the view 'view_account_list' .(accont_view.xml line 260.) Hence
it works normally.

But, when it comes to the priority, sometimes the view_account_tree is taken
into account and thus the error appears.

Normally, when the model has list and tree both set of views, it is a
convention that the list view gets higher priority.(You can see stock.location,
ir.ui.menu).

Hence, the solution would be doing both the things, viz.
1. Set the priority of view_account_list higher (lower the number).
2. Remove the child_id from that view. So, it can now be called a pure list
view.

This should definitely help.

Thanks.
